Out and About on Skye

There is no shortage of ways to spend your holiday on Skye. The island has something to offer everyone. Ardmorn is a short drive from both the Talisker distillery and Dunvegan Castle.
There are many sites of historic interest, with intriguing and romantic tales abounding. From Flora McDonald to the McLeods of Dunvegan castle, from brochs to piping museums, Skye is steeped in history. There are many places to visit in our corner of North Skye alone and Ardmorn is within a comfortable drive of all parts of the island.

For nature lovers Skye offers fascinating geology, bird-life in abundance (much of which can be viewed from the conservatory at Ardmorn), otters and seals, not to mention hardy sheep and imposing Highland cattle.
Outdoor pursuits are a speciality of the area and the mountains of Skye provide a challenging, world-famous landscape to explore. There are many walks to suit all abilities and horse-riding, golf and water sports are all available within easy reach of Ardmorn.
The spectacular scenery of Skye is a memorable backdrop however you decide to spend your days. In the evening, the famous Three Chimneys restaurant is a short drive away and nearby Dunvegan provides a further selection of hotels and restaurants.
